upgrading biocube pump

Postby jeffc on Sun Feb 28, 2010 8:35 pm

I am further modifing my 14 gallon biocube so the next step is upgrading the pump to increase flow. My question is what pump should I upgrade to? I'm obviously not looking for an intense flow but something a little more. I know quite a few people do this to their biocubes so I'd figure I would ask. Thanks

IIRC, a maxijet 400 or 600 works well. If you go with a higher one, like the 1200, the pump can introduce too much heat into the system.

I'm not sure what kind of pump it has. Whatever comes standard and factory made with it. I have yet to pull it out and look.

Most bc14 user upgraded to maxi-jet 900. Checkout nano-reef.com/forum a lot bc 14 owners.

You could also add a Koralia nano if you need more flow.
