Greetings.
I am looking to make some fail-safe improvements to my auto top-off system and wanted to add a 12V Solenoid Valve. Does anyone know of a source for some that have threaded in/out? I'd like to incorporate some barbed fittings and want some flexibility on what I use.
TIA!

Ed, Here is where I got mine. They do have 12v dc valves. About $24.66 each. http://www.mcmaster.com/#Part # 7877K5 Kevin

OK, only 480,000 products! Do you have a part number I can search on? All the solenoids that I found didn't look right and they were WAY more expensive. Thanks! --Ed

Ed, Kevin gave you the part number, it is # 7877K5. These have 1/8" NPT threaded connections, so you can put on some 1/8" NPT x 1/4" Quick Connect for RO tubing, and you are good. I would definitely get the 120V ones and I would also get a 120V relay, Radio Shack part number 275-217 (unless you have a controller that can handle the digital inputs). Anyways, if you were able to make it to the meeting, I was going to show how to create one!

DUH! My bad Kevin, sorry about that. Don't know how I overlooked that. Yea Chris, I figured you'd be going over all them at the meeting. My wife teaches a class on Thursday nights right now so I can't make it. --Ed

Ed, if you want, I will be doing a complete write up about it to hand out. Do you want a copy?

That would be great. Also take some pictures and we'll post an article on the site in the members section.

Will anyone be bringing one of these valves to the meeting? I don't have any extra, but could take one out of my system to bring it?
